THE LAST DRAMA

The Last Drama 

WHAT A DRAMA IT WAS THAT CAME TO MY MIND WHEN I was going through the book of Mathew 24:36-44. I was ruminating over this and the Lord expatiated it on my heart.

“Few years is gradually turning to few months,

Few months to few days

Few days to few seconds

In just few days, Jesus will come”. 

Those are the lyrics of a song by Panam Percy Paul. It is therefore necessary that we remind ourselves that we are but for a moment in this our journey through the earth. It is not new that heaven is real and hell is, this means that great work is expected from us if truly we will reign with Him.

Do you know that so many events will happen after the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ? It was highlighted in Mathew 24:36-44 what the day will look like. Two friends will be going, one will be taken and the other left behind. Let’s see what will happen to people in the different professions when that day comes.

Footballers: It is not funny that some goal keepers will disappear from the goalpost while Premiership, Laliga or Serie A matches are been played, leaving chances for some strikers to score wonderful goals. ‘I have scored the greatest goal of my career’ –the striker would think, not knowing it is the worst goal he had ever scored since he just missed the ultimate goal in “heaven” while the goal keeper actually followed Christ and he was left behind.

Journalist: Is it not funny that some newsmen and journalists will be left behind only for people to see them on news line telling people that ‘something mysterious happened today’ as people kept disappearing from the face of the earth. They will even go further by saying ‘scientists are still trying to find out the cause of this’. These newsmen or journalists may probably be thinking that ‘this is the best even ever recorded’, but let me say, they have would have missed it because it will be their worst considering the sorrow that will follow.  

Demographers and statistician: “Population of the world reduced dramatically and statistics shows that 20% of the whole world population are nowhere to be found”, they will say by that time, not knowing that they have missed it because it will be their worst considering the sorry that will follow.

Economics: Some of economics will be left behind to estimate the damage of the disappearance would have done to the economy of the nation. They will even draw the demand-supply curve that will never exist and forecast what the economy will be in 10years time as a result of the disappearance called RAPTURE, not knowing that they will not even stay for that long.

Engineers: many accidents will happen on the highway since some drivers will disappear on the steering. Mechanical engineers left behind will be the one to repair those damaged vehicles. Some Elect/Elect engineers will be left to do some electrical fittings that will be damaged due to rapture. Some Chemical Engineers, Geologists, Geographers will be alive then to tell the world that instead of the natural resources to be exhumed from the soil, human bodies were what they saw leaving the graves and disappearing to the sky.

Scientists: I don’t know what they will say then. Don’t forget that they are fond of blaming ‘mother nature’. “Mother nature has not been good to us today, as she took our beloved ones away from us”, they will say then, not knowing that it will be the most saddening moment of their illustrious careers.

 Pastors:  Many pastors will be left behind. Don’t you think that this will be a surprise to see some pastors that will be in the church officiating the service and explaining to those who were not ‘raptured’, what rapture is all about. They will be comforting them and giving them hope that they can still make heaven. Don’t you think it is the worst message they have ever preached?

Wont you stop for a while at this point and tell God that “Lord, I refuse to be signboard that will show people the way with itself been left behind; Lord I don’t want to be a cast away having called others to the contest.”

Are you a Doctor, already thinking about how this applies to you? Some doctors will still be in the hospital to treat those who could not follow Jesus Christ. Like I said, many accidents will happen, causalities will be on the increase, and hospitals will be filled with people waiting to be treated. Doctors will attend to them; it will be a very hectic day for them together with the nurses. Is it not great that they are doing what they have been called to do i.e. to treat? It would however be highly disheartening, a great pity that they missed heaven.

Lawyers will also carry on with their activities; some lawyers will win some great cases, sorry, worst cases, because some of the accused persons will disappear thereby closing the case.

Some judges will preside over some powerful cases which would have earned them fame, but it is a pity they would have missed the opportunity to judge with the Lord of heaven.

What a day it will be, a day when the strength to carry on will disappear, a day of sorrow and gnashing of teeth, a day of silence and a day of wailing, a day that could have been a day of absolute freedom turning to be a day of slavery when words of regrets will be pronounced.

Shout it to God: “I refuse to say HAD I KNOWN.”
