The Power of Positive Confession

The Power of Positive Confession and how it affects our life today...

Prov 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall    eat the fruit of it [for death or life]"
21 “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk (carelessly) will reap the consequences.”

Confession means to agree…We must agree with God’s Word…
We must all say what God says...about ourselves, our situations, etc...
Whose power is the Word talking about? Gods? Holy Spirits? The Church's?
No, our own tongue! So, what do we confess? What is our mantra? What are we saying!
What have we been speaking into our own life!

Sickness or health…poverty or wealth is directly related to our confession,,, death & life are in the power of the tongue…
Are you speaking death or life to your life!

   Therefore when anything negative comes…
In order to triumph we must know:
What God says about our circumstances?
What Satan says? (He will speak to us.)
We need to be aware of - What do we think about the situation.
Because we am the determining factor! We cast the determining vote!
...Wherever my agreement is, there will my reality be...

    Rev 12:10-11 "
10Then I heard a strong (loud) voice in heaven, saying, Now it has come--the salvation and the power and the kingdom (the dominion, the reign) of our God, and the power (the sovereignty, the authority) of His Christ (the Messiah); for the accuser of our brethren, he who keeps bringing before our God charges against them day and night, has been cast out!
11And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony (confession), for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing]."

The BLOOD has been applied by JESUS, WE must add our TESTIMONY!

We have unknowingly and unconsciously weaving a web around our lives…by speaking negatively with our mouths…not realizing that anything we say could have anything to do with …according to the Bible how did God create this world…by words…God said…let there be light, etc

1John 2:1-  1MY LITTLE children, I write you these things so that you may not violate God's law and sin. But if anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (One Who  intercedes for us) with the Father--[it is] Jesus Christ [the all] righteous [upright, just, Who conforms to the Father's will in every purpose, thought, and action].

Intercede: mediator 1 Tim 2:5-6 “For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”
              1) one who intervenes between two, either in order to make or restore peace and friendship, or form a compact, or for ratifying a covenant
                   2) a medium of communication, arbitrator

[ “paga” intercession – to meet… also a term for warfare or violent meetings
* Jesus & Satan at Calvary and resurrection…it is accomplished, it is finished!  The debt is paid in full…The serpent’s head was crushed by Jesus. He dissolved or voided the contract that legally bound…to loose…

Psalm 22: 31They shall come and shall declare His righteousness to a people yet to be born--that He has done it [that it is finished]!

1 John 3:
8[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].

Through Jesus work of redemption He created a meeting (paga) between God and man.
God’s truth met His loving kindness and “Righteousness and peace have kissed each other” Ps 85:10
~ mercy has triumphed over judgment…
Jesus’ meeting between God and man is called the ministry of reconciliation…
Jesus desires to release the fruit of that meeting through our prayers (2Cor 5:18-21)
Jesus is not personally praying for us to day…He is at rest… He is interceding for us so we can pray.
This is what is asking “in His name”.   ~  Dutch Sheets]

     Advocate* Jesus Christ the righteous…
Advocate in Greek is a legal term…
Corresponding in English : advocate  “counsel for the defense”
Jesus stands at the judgment seat in heaven
When accuser of the brethren comes in to the courts to lay a charge against us
The only thing He can use to defend us is His blood and our testimony…

So if we are confessing the negative that swings the victory to the enemy
And our counsel for the defense is rendered ineffective…
But when we make a statement that is consistent with the Word of God
Then Jesus, our advocate, can stand before the judgment seat of God and say Father, I rest my case…
These are your children, they are bought by My blood and they are confessing what Your Word says…
Satan has no chance…it’s thrown out of court…

Jesus can only defend us with 2 things…
His brief is His Blood and Our testimony…

(reg lawyer can not get you acquitted if your testimony is I am guilty)

Accuser is accusing us day and night…BUT we have a defender…

We must not speak contrary to the Word of God!

Because if we do we tie His hands…

...Wherever my agreement is, there will my reality be...
Jesus is pleading for us with His blood…

As the High Priest of our confession (Heb 3:1)

He can only minister over us with what we say that is consistent to what God says…

!!!!! That agreement is the plumb line that must line up….!!!!!

Negative confession gives the accuser  power to condemn us to our words….

Prov 6: 2 "You are snared with the words of your lips, you are caught by the speech of your mouth."
2”  if you have trapped yourself by your agreement and are caught by what you said—“  NLT

We are to take the authority of Jesus’ name and enforce His victory at Calvary through our prayers…
Matt 16:19 : 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.”
Intercession is when we stand in the place, prepared by Jesus, and we meet the enemy and enforce the victory of the cross!!!!!
The positive Christian life is based on these truths….God wants us to succeed…
No one can stop us if you know how to operate in God’s framework!!!
