INSECTICIDES (OTA
PIAPIA) PRODUCTION
‘Ota
piapia’ has it is commonly called can be prepared using either water (use
Nopest) or kerosene (use Sniper) with both 3litres respectively. Kerosene usage
seems very active than water but its more cost effective whereas water is less
active and less cost effective. The producer can decide his choice of
production.
RAW MATERIALS QUANTITY
·
Formalin ½Lr
·
IPA ½ Lr
·
Sniper (for kerosene use only) 2bottles
(100ml each)
·
Nopest (for water use only) 2bottles
(100ml each)
·
Industrial Camphor ¼ kg
·
Kerosene or water 3-5litres
·
Colour (optional because most of the
colour stains)
PROCEDURE
Mixture 1: In
a bucket, pour the Industrial Camphor in side. The Camphor is a white
crystalline solid like sugar.
Mixture 2:
Dissolve the Camphor with the Formalin follow by the IPA (Iso Propyl Alcohol).
Stir very well and ensure the Camphor dissolves readily.
Mixture 3:
Open the two bottles of Sniper or Nopestand pour them inside the mixture above.
Only one bottle of the Sniper can also be used, but the production will not be
too active.
Mixture 4:
Add your desired choice: water or kerosene.
Mixture 5:
Mix well. Your insecticide is ready for use. However, perfume can also be added
to remove the Sniper’s choking smell to something more pleasant.
Mixture 6:
Start dispensing.
Note:
Preferably, I would prefer you use kerosene instead of water, as kerosene is
more active and concentrated than water. Also note that kerosene on its own
kills insects.
Enjoy.......
