Judges 13 - 16
Before anything can be unveiled, I think we need to first look at the personality of our subject topic – Samson. Who was Samson? What was his mission on earth? Was he really anointed to deliver his people (the Israelites) from the Philippians? Why then was he distracted by the woman the bible said he ‘loved’?
Let’s begin with this…

Who was Samson in the Bible?
It is sad to be remembered for what one might have been. Samson had great potential. Not many people started life with credentials like his. Born as a result of God's plan on the lives of Manoah and his wife, Samson was to do a great work for God, to "begin the deliverance of Israel from the hands of the Philistines." Samson was given great physical strength to help him accomplish God's plan.
Samson wasted his strength on practical jokes and getting out of scrapes. He eventually gave it up altogether to satisfy the woman he loved. Samson is remembered as the judge in Israel who spent his last days grinding grains in an enemy prison. What a wasted potential!
Yes, it is true that Samson wasted his life. He could have strengthened his nation. He could have returned his people to the worship of God. He could have wiped out the Philistines. However, even though Samson did none of these things, he still accomplished the purpose announced by the angel who visited his parents before his birth. In his final act, Samson began to rescue Israel from the Philistines.
It's interesting to note that in the New Testament, Samson's failures and heroic feats of strength are not mentioned. He is simply listed with others "who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice and gained what was promised." In the end, Samson recognized his dependence on God. When he died, God turned his defeats and failures into victory. Samson's story teaches us that it's never too late to start over, no matter how badly we may have failed in the past. It is never too late to put your complete trust in God.

Do you put your trust in God? Do you know God?
